Currently he heads the automotive business in North America, providing engineering solutions to major clients.

Beginning his professional journey in Trivandrum, India, in 1998, Salice Thomas joined QUEST Global (formerly NeST Software) as a software engineer, where he achieved exceptional career growth throughout his tenure. He played a pivotal role in developing one of the company’s largest account through his strategic initiatives, customer centricity and commitment to delivery excellence. His journey with Wipro began in 2007 as a program manager and account manager in Tokyo, Japan. Over the years, he has held several key positions within the company and he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and was recognized multiple times as the best business and delivery leader for the Japan and North America region.

In 2014, Mr. Thomas was appointed regional delivery head for Japan and the Asia-Pacific region in product engineering services at Wipro. From 2016 to 2019, he served as global client partner for mega gamma accounts in Hi-tech sector in Portland, Oregon. His strategic vision and ability to manage key accounts led to his promotion to senior director and global client partner for strategic business (HiTech) in engineering and research and development services in Mountain View, California.

Since 2023, Mr. Thomas has been the general manager and sector head at Wipro Engineering in Mountain View, California. In this role, he has driven significant growth initiatives, including expanding delivery centers worldwide in Brazil and Singapore. These efforts have not only created employment opportunities but also contributed substantially to the company’s growth.

Mr. Thomas’ academic background is equally impressive. He holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing, finance and general management from the Indian Institute of Management Raipur; Post Graduate certificate in Strategic management from Indian institute of management Trichy; a Master of Philosophy in computer science from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University; a Master of Science in software systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani and a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and communications engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.

Mr. Thomas’ commitment to continuous learning is evident through his career. He secured 4 masters, 3 Post graduate diplomas and over 12 certifications in engineering and management from renowned institutions and still continuing his studies. He believes that continuous learning fosters confidence and broadens one’s perspective. His learning achievements inspire others. His dedication to his work often involves putting in more than 12 hours each day. Mr. Thomas attributes his success to his core values of hard work, integrity, transparency, commitment and a positive attitude.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Thomas is an active member of several industry-related organizations. He has been an official member and contributor of Forbes Councils on the Forbes Business Development Council since 2024. He established and leading the customer experience expert group in Forbes Business Development Council since then. He has been associated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for over 15 years and also a member of the Project Management Institute chapters in India, Japan and US.

Mr. Thomas’ contributions extend beyond his professional life. He has been an advisory board member at the University of San Francisco School of Management since 2024 and serves as a coach for building women leaders at Wipro. He has also authored numerous articles for professional journals.

Outside of his career, Mr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his family and traveling, yoga, cooking and watching movies. Looking ahead, he aspires to retire as a chief executive officer and dedicate his time to various academic initiatives in both business management and technologies while contributing to society through different philanthropic activities in the elated areas.
